5 Days Tour To Morocco Sahara Desert From Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades valley

Today we will pick you up from Marrakech in the morning, crossing the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka (2260m), to reach Ait Benhaddou village, the fortified ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs. Ait Benhaddou has served as a natural scenery for many movie producers. After lunch, we will head to Dades via Ouarzazate, the palm grove of Skoura and Dades Valley where we will spend the first night.

Day 2: Dades  valley – Todra gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will continue our Sahara desert trip, taking the road to drive around the colorful Berber villages to get to Tineghir with its beautiful palm grove. We will continue to the Gorge of Todra, where we go on a trek along the canyons of about 300 m high, a preferred place for mountain climbers. Afterward, we will head to Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, overnight at a local riad.

Day 3: Merzouga Sightseeing Tour and Camel Ride

After breakfast, you will make the large turn of the dunes of Merzouga the wandering deposit, the village of the Gnaoua, mines of MIFISS, and the plates desert with the meeting of the Berber nomads of the desert, in the afternoon you will take a camel ride for 1 h30 min, while watching the sunset, to get to the camp in the oasis. Spending the night in the bivouac at Merzouga Sahara dunes under nomadic tents.

Day 4: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

After a quiet and memorable night in the dunes of Erg Chebbi sand, you can watch the sunrise over the dunes we go back with the camels to the hotel for breakfast and shower and then leave for Rissani to explore the tourist area including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the palm grove as a part of your exploration. Lunch in Nkoub then continues to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Telouet – The Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After your breakfast, we will continue to Marrakech with a detour to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and visit the Kasbah el Glaoui and cross the high Atlas mountain.
